October’s First Monday

Until I came to law school I never realized that the first Monday in October was any different than other Mondays–October or otherwise.  But, I quickly learned that the first Monday in October means that the Supreme Court is back in session.  That means today marks the start of the 2012 term.

For news and updates on the Supreme Court I always refer to SCOTUSblog.  They have great reporting and analysis that’s reliable and accurate.  Today SCOTUSblog points to a number of previews of the 2012 Supreme Court term that can help you get ready for the term.

And, since we have an election coming up there’s the inevitable articles about possible Supreme Court vacancies.  CNN recently ran stories on Supreme Court possibilities for President Obama and Mitt Romney.
